Role: CAD Drafter
Location: Fort Worth
Salary: $70-95k
The Senior CAD Technician is part of the Fort Worth Transportation design team involved in a variety of public sector projects including public infrastructure improvements (TxDOT) (i.e., drainage, water, etc)
Responsibilities
- Using established CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings from development to plan submittal.
- Oversight of CAD systems management, refinement and evolution of standards and workflows
- Organizing and scheduling your own work, and at times, the work of other team members to accomplish project goals within established budgets and schedules
- Coordination with engineers and other design team members
- Plotting and assembling construction plans
Education/Certification
- High School graduate or GED required
- Post-high school technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field preferred
Professional
- Responsive and results oriented in service to clients
- Civil CAD experience and understanding on a variety of projects including public infrastructure improvements (emphasis on MicroStation ORD 3D Corridor development)
- Proficient in the latest version of Microstation/ORD, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members
- Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures
- Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings
